Amy & Steve's wedding at Ston Easton Park in Somerset
The first meeting
Sitting outdoors in South Bank – the cultural heart of London – for a light lunch, meeting with Amy and Steve to talk about their stylish and elegant Somerset wedding. I first met Amy, creative owner of Opulance Cakes at Chosen wedding fair. We were both exhibiting at the Paintworkin Bristol, an exciting and trendy venue. The day is so pleasantly bright and warm, it really feels like being on holiday. Amy and Stephen are such a relaxed couple. Oh, I am in love with Steve's Ted Baker tailored jacket!
About The wedding
The wedding will have an Italian feel, as the couple love everything about Italy. (I know you can’t see it, but I have a big smile on my face!) The tables will be named by places they have visited in Italy. The invites are handmade by them, with paper from the windmill where Steven’s grandfather used to work. What a lovely touch! The wedding plan sounds really exciting and the grand finale will be fireworks!
Ston Easton Park in Somerset. This has to be one of the most opulent country houses that I have photographed. When Amy told me about this venue I couldn't believe how lucky I was. Ston Easton Park is an 18th-century Palladium mansion sitting in a beautiful manicured landscaped garden. The pretty church where Amy and Steve are getting married is just a short walk away. Each room of the venue is exquisitely decorated and finished with fine antiques. Everything is wonderfully spacious and is the perfect backdrop for painting-like photographs. I particularly love the picture of the best men and bridesmaids throwing the wedding bouquets.Amy's champagne silk gown looks luxurious and sophisticated, possibly my favourite wedding dress ever. She looks stunning and so graceful. Wishing a truly happy life to two wonderful people. Here are more pictures of the wedding.
