Beautiful Autumn Wedding Photos at The Roseate Reading

BLUE sky and warm weather, summer traditionally has always been the season to get married but more and more couples are moving away from summer weddings to embrace the beauty of all the other seasons.

This is exactly what Anna and Daniel have done, stepped away from the classical choice and decided to welcome the autumn wedding, with a warm pallet of colours and the cosiness of the season.

I absolutely love autumn and winter celebration.

There are so many reasons for welcoming the off-season weddings.

Low prices when looking for wedding venues, more available dates and definitely (my favourite) the chance to fully embrace ‘Hygge’, so well respected and worship in Denmark.

Hygge is the celebration of the wintertime, when the cold weather brings family and friends together in the warmth of the indoors.

THE CHURCH COMMUNITY

I Never before I felt so welcome and relaxed in a church community!

The atmosphere felt homely and connected, everybody was actively involved, from singing in the choir, to moving chairs, or arranging the food to share.

I feel so touched by the joyous and positive community spirit.

Both Anna and Daniel were accompanied by their son to the front of the altar.

Ritzo, the sausage dog, was the ring bearer, he was so well-behaved and definitely stole the show.

During the service, Anna joined the choir in a traditional African song called ‘oye' while Daniel was playing the drums.

Anna originally from Italy asked the guests to throw rice instead of flowers at the end of the wedding, it’s symbolises prosperity and good fortune.

Between courses, there were a few fun moments, Flashmob singing and some dance routine.

After the church we walked to the wedding venue The Roseate along the river with Anna and Daniel for some relaxed pictures, the weather was mild and the rain had stopped.

Anna’s creativity and precision to details is equal to none, she really made sure that all the guests were involved in the many activities she had planned, from Chinese whispers, to matching card games, everybody was taking part and having a great time.

After the meal the space was cleared for cutting the cake and first dance in traditional African gowns.

I would like to share some of Anna and Daniel’s words…

… Please could you share with us a little bit about your wedding planning, what was the most difficult part?

"As a matter of fact, Anna & I made the decision on 18th May 2019 to get married after I proposed at the L'Ortolan.
We couldn't wait for the following year so we challenged ourselves to get married within 6 months. The practical date available was on the 26th October 2019.
Frankly, it was smooth sailing all along.  The difficulty was getting the chosen cake maker and flower supplier.

The epic cake was by the incredible Tiny Sarah cakes

Daniel texted a message after the wedding, what a lovely surprise!

“Hellooooo!! Ciao!!! The photographer of the century!! All is well! I trust you are all well too. We cannot thank you enough. Your dedication and enthusiasm and command on the day was fantastic. Church members still talk about you in a very good way. I'm hoping that you'll be first in their list for any future weddings. Anna has been away to Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and returning from Italy today. I miss here so much.  ”
