Beautiful BMA House Wedding Photography in London
Hi there, and welcome! If you’re planning your wedding at BMA House, you’re in for a real treat. It’s one of the most stunning wedding venues in central London, and as a photographer, I can tell you that it’s an absolute dream to capture. But let me tell you a little about Lucy and Craig’s beautiful day and answer some of the questions you might have while planning your wedding.
A Perfect Day at BMA House
When I first met Lucy and Craig, they told me they wanted their day to feel relaxed, elegant, and full of love and they chose the perfect venue to match that vibe. BMA House is right in the heart of Bloomsbury, WC1, and is one of London’s most iconic Grade II listed buildings. It’s hard to believe such a peaceful, hidden gem exists in such a bustling part of the city!
Their day started with a short and sweet ceremony at the Tower Hamlets Register Office, a gorgeous Victorian building in East London. In case you’re wondering, the ceremony lasted just 20 minutes, a perfect option if you want to keep things simple and spend more time celebrating! We also used the Gardens of Bromley Public Hall, which offered a lovely backdrop for family and couple portraits.
From there, we reached BMA House, where the magic really unfolded. Lucy and Craig had a traditional Scottish piper greet them as they arrived, a nod to Lucy’s roots and the atmosphere was immediately warm and welcoming.
Why Choose BMA House for Your Wedding?
I often get asked by couples why BMA House is such a fantastic venue, so let me break it down:
1. The Courtyard Garden:
Imagine your guests sipping drinks in a tranquil, immaculately kept garden in the heart of London. It’s a peaceful spot with a stunning pond perfect for romantic photos. The ornate black gates and memorial fountain also create dramatic backdrops for portraits you’ll treasure forever.
2. Versatile Indoor Spaces:
Whether you’re planning a grand celebration or something more intimate, the venue offers four indoor rooms, all flooded with natural light. Lucy and Craig’s brass band filled the space with music, which was absolutely magical.
3. Flexibility for Your Day:
One of the things I love most about BMA House is its flexibility. Lucy and Craig chose a relaxed barbecue dinner instead of a formal sit-down meal, which worked well. Their guests felt free to mingle and enjoy the beautiful garden.
What Should You Know About BMA House Weddings?
If you’re considering BMA House, you might wonder about the details. Here are some answers to the questions I hear most often:
What’s the vibe like?
It’s elegant and sophisticated but very relaxed. The team at BMA House is wonderful and works hard to ensure that your day feels personal and relaxed.
Is it good for photos?
Absolutely! From the dramatic architecture of the building to the serene, stunning courtyard garden, every corner is a photographer’s dream. Whether looking for candid moments or posed portraits, you’ll have no shortage of beautiful backdrops.
What if it rains?
Don’t worry! The indoor spaces are just as stunning as the outdoor ones. Rain or shine, you’ll have gorgeous photos to remember your day.
Can we personalise our day?
Yes, completely. Lucy and Craig’s barbecue dinner is an excellent example of how flexible the venue is. The space can adapt to your vision, whether you want something traditional or alternative.
Lucy and Craig’s Style
One of my favourite things about photographing weddings is seeing how couples express themselves through their style, and Lucy and Craig did this so beautifully. Lucy’s champagne-coloured gown was stunning and paired perfectly with her short blonde hair and understated elegance. Craig’s orange bow tie added a fun, quirky touch, and their bridesmaids brought vibrant pops of colour with their red, green, and yellow dresses.
