The Wedding day
It was a magical day for this beautiful couple, Lucy and Craig's relaxed garden wedding at the BMA House, Bloomsbury, WC1 in the heart of London. As a non-traditional wedding photographer based in London is always so exciting to discover unique and alternative wedding venues. Since 1925 the BMA House has been home to the headquarters of the British Medical Association.
The beautiful English courtyard garden provided the perfect backdrop for Lucy and Craig's elegant, yet very relaxed wedding. The bride, Lucy is originally from Scotland, so it was a real treat to have a piper welcoming them on their arrival at the BMA. The gorgeous grade II listed building is full of dramatic and stunning detail, like the memorial fountain at the entrance. The ornate black gate is sure to provide the most original and impressive frame for the couple pictures. BMA house is without a doubt a striking, sophisticated gem hidden in the busy capital. The natural acoustic in the indoor rooms helped to create a unique and magical atmosphere when the brass band played.
The courtyard garden is immaculately maintained. Lucy and Craig had guests flying in from all over the world, so the BMA's beautiful, tranquil outdoor heaven was a real treat with a warm evening and a rain free celebration. The location has four impressive indoor wedding rooms, each with an abundance of natural daylight, offering a real photographic opportunity. The spectacular courtyard has an ornate pond with exquisite surroundings. The couple opted for a relaxed barbeque dinner rather than a traditional sit-down meal, which allowed guests to fully enjoy the atmosphere and the garden.
Tower Hamlets register office
The wedding ceremony was held at Tower Hamlets register office in East London, an extremely attractive Victoria building. The Gardens of Bromley public Hall offered a great opportunity for the wedding pictures. The wedding ceremony was surprisingly short, around 20 minutes. The bride Lucy was wearing a stunning long wedding gown champagne colour, the wedding bouquet was multicoloured and the bridesmaids were wearing bold colours, red, green and yellow. The neutral palette of the wedding dress complimented Lucy's short blond hair and defined beauty. She looked elegantly demure and stunningly unique. Craig's orange bow tie and bearded was the perfect match for a very relaxed yet stylish and original couple.
