Beautiful Petersham Nurseries CHURCH Wedding photography

As a London wedding photographer, I get booked to photograph some really lovely venues, and I was really excited about photographing this wedding at St Peters Church.

The Wedding Day

This Richmond wedding at St Peter's Church, next to the fantastic Petersham Nurseries, is full of botanical beauty, colours, elegance, and love. The couple wanted an elegant, romantic and rustic style for their wedding day. Walking down the aisle of their local church was one of their happiest moments.

Visit the Wedding venue before the big day

On my visit to St Peter's Church, next to Petersham Nurseries, before the wedding, I had the chance to meet the lovely Revered Kate. Together, we worked out all the details ahead of the big day.

The Church
The Church interior is beautiful but petite. Even though the space in the church was limited, I was able to photograph key moments without restricting the guest's view. After the ceremony, the couple walked together under a shower of colourful dry flower confetti.

Confetti moments are always full of fun and excitement. Photographing friends and family throwing confetti at the newly married couple is genuinely joyful. This simple gesture lets the guests congratulate the just-married couple spontaneously and playfully. These are the pictures that generally will make everyone smile.

The Ivy Cafe in Richmond, wedding venue

As an alternative wedding photographer, I found discovering new, unusual wedding venues fascinating. After the wedding to celebrate, the couple booked The Isabella's room at the Ivy Cafe in Richmond for their intimate event. This private dining space is located on the venue's first floor, flooded with natural light and a lovely view of Richmond Hill. The bold colour of the artwork in the room is inspired by the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park, and it is absolutely breathtaking. I just couldn’t stop taking pictures!
