Sunny Autumn Urban Engagement Photoshoot in Shoreditch

The first meeting with the-bride-to-be

I first met the bride-to-be Beth, at a wedding Fair, Miss Vintage Wedding Fair, in Battersea Arts Centre on 20 October 2013.

As an alternative wedding photographer based in Wimbledon, I love to exhibit at local wedding venues.

Beth and I started talking and immediately clicked, as her fiance was Italian. She said that ‘at her wedding, she did not need a photographer as one of her friends offered to photograph the event. I was obviously thrilled that Beth and her fiancé Antonio changed their mind and booked me as their wedding photographer. It is one of the most memorable weddings I ever photographed.

SHOREDITCH STREET ART ENGAGEMENT PHOTOSHOOT

We had an initial meeting to decide all about the engagement photoshoot. The street art of Shoreditch was the chosen location. To help create a vision, as I always do, I made a Pinterest board called Beth and Antonio. It was fun working on this project.

Their engagement photoshoot was decided for Saturday, 23 November. I did a recce a few days before to pinpoint where the most exciting murals were located. I sometimes forget how wonderful and resourceful London is. Shoreditch was the perfect location for a fun, relaxed pre-wedding photo session.

We met up early despite London Underground not working (no Northern Line or Overground line). There was just a bus replacement. The day was sunny with a beautiful blue sky, but cold, freezing cold, so much so that their pug puppy couldn’t join us for the photoshoot.

Antonio Terreno is an Italian-born System Developer working at MailOnline, and Beth is a freelance journalist. They are very artistic, and we bonded well together. I love how photogenic Beth is.

I can’t wait for the big day! April is just around the corner.

Please get in touch if you are looking for a london wedding photographer!

Thank you, Beth for this lovely review

"We weren't really looking for a professional photographer but loved Paola from the moment we met at a vintage wedding fair - her enthusiasm and warmth really made me want to book her straight away! Equally we weren't sure about a pre wedding shoot - we'd seen the cheesey shoots our friends had been on and really didn't want that. Paola had the best idea for the location of our shoot and having done it I'm so glad - it really helped the three of us get to know each other and have fun - and the photos are so fabulous we can't wait for her to photograph our wedding!
