80s Prom Night. Bridal Styled Shoot
Why is important to do a styled photo shoot?
Personally, I think is a fantastic and very creative way to push boundaries and explore areas out of our comfort zone. A styled shoot requires months of preparation and hard work, the team involved is always very considerable, we are probably talking about a dozen or more people. It's a network that includes similar minded suppliers that I can then recommend in the future. Being a self-employed photographer can be a very isolated experience. Styled shoots gives me the chance to experiment and grow at many levels. It is a chance to work on ideas that will reflect my brand and my values. I love untraditional, unconventional, cutting-edge weddings. And this is why working with Erin from Way Out Wedding is a dream come true.
I would just like to say a few words about this specific project. "I have always been fascinated by Meadham Kirchhoff theatrical and whimsical work, so I was thrilled to be involved in this quite unique photo shoot. Erin from WOW is always leading incredible projects, reflecting elements of unconventional and cutting edge beauty. The photo shoot was based on the 70-80's Americana, bubblegum, bohemian Glam, with lots of glitter and a palette of girlish colours. Just my cup of tea! I love the boldly defined colours and the touch of the 70s glossy look. Avant-garde, non-conformist, unusual and out of the ordinary? Yes, it's definitely what I like best. Having worked with almost everybody in the team before I knew that the standard was incredibly high. I'd like to thank everybody for the tremendous effort and a huge applause to Erin for orchestrating everything to perfection."
Styled shoots are the perfect way to showcase your creative side and can be extremely beneficial as we can gain much exposure on social media, if the shoot is featured in a well known Wedding Blog. The popularity of styled shoots has grown enormously in recent years and is a wonderful way to reach out to the right clients. I love storytelling and styled shoots is a wonderful way of telling the story with well-planned images. This shoot has been featured on Bespoke Bride Blog.
