Corinthia Hotel Civil Partnership Photography

The Corinthia Hotel, London

My new year started with a charming wedding of two grooms, Dan and Matt. The event occurred in the marvellous Corinthia Hotel in central London, within walking distance from the major landmarks, overlooking the river Thames. This grand Victorian building is truly stunning and the staff are very helpful indeed. I must personally thank Claire Bowpitt, the event manager and the real star of the day. She really helped to make the day a great success. Looking after guests and even helping me to setup the family group shots. Yes, definitely an incredible and professional lady.

The first time I visited the venue for my pre-wedding recce, I was so impressed.

The civil partnership ceremony

Today the place with dimmed lights and candles everywhere looked just amazingly grand. So cosy and very friendly. Wow! A big "thank you" to Jo from Josy Posy for the lovely flower arrangement, with cute teapots filled with very colourful flowers and the floating candles.

Having the civil partnership and the afternoon tea party in the same location helped to create a very intimate atmosphere and nobody got wet. Yes, because outside it was pouring down.

The hotel kindly upgraded Dan and Matt's room to a staggering suite. Complete with a massive Christmas tree. They had a magnificent time with a pampering, relaxing treatment the day before

The wedding photographs

Today I met Dan and Matt again over a freshly prepared mint tea. We chatted about their civil partnership ceremony, the guests, the tension, the expectation, but mostly of the special atmosphere of the big day. They were very sweet to arrive at the appointment with a beautiful bunch of flowers and chocolate. A lovely way to say thank you for photographing their beautiful, chic city wedding. I will miss them, but I know that they will have a very happy life together.
