Step into the charm of this micro wedding at Islington Town Hall, marking a delightful beginning to the new year. Despite the challenges of a London transport strike, I found myself at the venue bright and early, ready to capture the magic of this cosy celebration.

My early arrival habit proved beneficial, allowing me to scout the area for the best photo spots. I also have time to introduce myself to the registrar officer conducting the ceremony before the wedding. Malvika and Peter, the lovely couple, chose to have a relaxed day with only close family in attendance. As they descended the impressive Islington Town Hall marble staircase after the ceremony, joy radiated as they held hands. The guests were waiting at the entrance with plenty of dry petals confetti.

After the wedding, I walked with the couple to the ceremony venue, only a short distance from the Town Hall. It was the perfect opportunity to capture the couple together, away from the guests and in beautiful surroundings. The day was cold, and the snow only added to the magic.

Wedding ceremony

The wedding was held at Islington Town Hall. The couple opted for a small city wedding, relaxed and informal. They tied the knot in Room 99, walking in together. The bride, Malvika, stunning in a long black velvet dress, was complemented by Peter, a dashing Leonardo DiCaprio lookalike, in a tweed jacket paired with a black polo neck top.

The intimate and relaxed atmosphere continued as the wedding party gathered for family photos, with a group photo outside a charming village pub where the celebration continued. Inside, the glow of a roaring fireplace provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed winter wedding in London.
