JOYFUL FUSION WEDDING AT THE OLD COUNCIL HOUSE, BRISTOL
Imagine your wedding day unfolding in a place where history meets romance, creating an enchanting atmosphere. That's the magic of The Old Council House in Bristol – a sophisticated, timeless venue with neo-Classical charm. I had the pleasure of photographing the love story of Umanga & Ben here as they celebrated their fusion wedding in the extraordinary Lantern Room.
HELLO, I am Paola of Paola De Paola Photography, a documentary wedding photographer, I had the privilege of photographing the magic of Umanga & Ben's wedding at the extraordinary Lantern Room at the elegant Old Council House in Bristol.
THE OLD COUNCIL HOUSE, WHERE HISTORY MEETS ROMANCE
Nestled in the heart of Bristol, this listed historic gem has a beautiful staircase, outstanding decor, and a location that's a stroll from Bristol Temple Meads train station. Surrounded by luxury hotels and restaurants, it sets the stage for a chic yet relaxed celebration.
As a recommended wedding supplier at this venue, I enjoyed photographing Umanga & Ben's fusion wedding in the stunning Lantern Room.
Its Regency decor, elegant lighting, and portraits of royals such as King George II and Queen Caroline overseeing the ceremony provide an extraordinary backdrop for your special day.
JOYFUL FUSION OF TWO CULTURES IN BRISTOL
Umanga & Ben's love story is a testament to the perfect modern, non-traditional, colourful celebration of an international union. Umanga, originally from Sri Lanka and based in Dubai, chose Bristol – where she and Ben met as university students – to celebrate their love. Their wedding, a beautiful blend of two cultures, was heartwarming and extraordinary.
They found me through the colourful Old Council House wedding brochure, and Ben immediately reached out to book me to photograph their wedding. They thought that my inclusive wedding photography business was a perfect match for their wedding.
CONFETTI PHOTOGRAPHS AT THE OLD COUNCIL HOUSE
After tying the knot, Umanga & Ben stepped outside into a cascade of colourful confetti. The Old Council House's iconic building provided the perfect stage for this magical moment, with guests joyfully showering the newlyweds with biodegradable, dry petals.
Some of my most loved confetti pictures were taken outside this historic venue in the city centre of beautiful Bristol.
Rest assured, I'll handle the organization, ensuring an unforgettable confetti experience.
GROUP PHOTOS
The picturesque front entrance of the Old Council House offers an ideal setting for group photos. While the city centre can be bustling, my years of experience ensure a smooth and efficient process. These informal and fun photos are a unique treasure, capturing everyone present on your special day.
Please don't worry; I will smoothly and calmly ensure that the Family group photos are done quickly and efficiently. Remember, this represents a unique occasion when all your friends and family are together, a special moment to be cherished for years. Particularly if many guests have travelled a long way to attend your wedding.
These pictures can be informal and fun. Capturing everyone present on your wedding day is undoubtedly a real treasure.
COUPLE PHOTOS
After your wedding ceremony at The Old Council House in Bristol, choosing a suitable location for your couple's photographs can be fun. Let me share with you a few possible places nearby, as I have photographed Umang and Ben's colourful wedding in this part of Bristol. The Old Council House is on Corn Street, near St Nicholas Market.
A few minutes away, Bristol Grand Hotel offers a beautiful backdrop for the couple's pictures. I was lucky to find the fantastic Floral Underpass murals by HazardOne, one of England's most celebrated female graffiti artists, to use as a backdrop to some stunning wedding couple photos.
Professional Couple Wedding photos are more than just an experience; they perfectly capture the joy and laughter of your unique love. These images can be printed and elegantly framed. But most importantly, they will become treasured memories for your future. They will preserve the essence of your magical union, ensuring you'll always have tangible memories of your wedding day.
WEDDING RECEPTION AT THE RADNOR ROOMS
Umanga & Ben chose the Radnor Rooms for their wedding reception – a short stroll from The Old Council House. This venue, steeped in history since the 1920s, radiates an elegant yet quirky vibe. Beautifully restored by the Wolff family, it offers indoor charm and a rooftop terrace for a relaxed celebration.
