Pembroke Lodge Wedding Photographer | Richmond Park Wedding Photography

If you’re dreaming of a wedding surrounded by nature, history, and breathtaking views, Pembroke Lodge in the heart of Richmond Park is one of London’s most beautiful and unique venues.
As a wedding photographer based in Wimbledon and someone with a deep personal connection to Richmond Park, I find Pembroke Lodge to be an extraordinary venue for a celebration. The timeless elegance of the venue, combined with the wild beauty of the park, offers an experience that is both grand and intimate.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing wonderful weddings here, each one unique and deeply meaningful. In this blog, I’ll share one such story, along with my own connection to this remarkable place.

My Personal Connection with Richmond Park and Pembroke Lodge

Richmond Park has been part of my life for many years. It is where my family and I often go to walk, cycle, and simply reconnect with nature. I love seeing the changing of the seasons, from the crisp air and fallen leaves of autumn to the soft light and fresh green of spring.
Pembroke Lodge itself holds a special place in my heart. I first discovered it many years ago on one of our family visits. Perched at the top of the park, the Lodge offers breathtaking panoramic views. It feels as though the whole landscape stretches out before you.
One of the most magical things about weddings here is what happens when the park gates close for the evening. The entire space feels as if it belongs only to you and your guests. There is a profound stillness, the sounds of nature, the beauty of the night sky, and a sense of privacy that is rare in London. It is an atmosphere that stays with you long after the day is over.
Living nearby, I often find myself drawn back to Richmond Park. It is a place that inspires me both personally and professionally. Photographing weddings here is always a joy and an opportunity to create images that reflect the deep connection between people and the natural world around them.

A Beautiful Chinese and English Fusion Wedding at Pembroke Lodge

One of the most moving weddings I’ve had the honour to photograph at Pembroke Lodge was the celebration of Alaine and Tim, a beautiful fusion of Chinese and English traditions.
Their day was filled with love, warmth, and the joyful blending of cultures. It was deeply inspiring to witness the strength and grace that Alaine carried with her, having sadly lost her mother not long before the wedding. Yet throughout the day, her radiance and happiness shone through, embraced by her family and friends.

Wedding Ceremony at the Belvedere, Pembroke Lodge

The ceremony and reception took place in the elegant Belvedere room, a space that always impresses with its classic beauty and light-filled atmosphere.
For Alaine and Tim’s celebration, the room was styled with delicate blue paper lanterns, adding a touch of softness and charm. The light streaming in through the windows created a beautiful setting for the exchange of vows, a moment filled with deep emotion, love and happy tears.

An Intimate Chinese Tea Ceremony

A special part of the day was the traditional Chinese tea ceremony, which was celebrated informally and intimately. This beautiful ritual brought generations together, creating a space for reflection and gratitude.
It was a moment that perfectly reflected the couple’s desire to honour both their heritages and to create a wedding that truly belonged to them and their families.
