Timeless Wedding at Cliveden House
Capturing Moments with Creativity. A Story of Love, History & Art
Hi, I'm Paola, a documentary wedding photographer based in London. I'm passionate about storytelling, history, art, and the beauty of authentic, real moments. If you're looking for a photographer who captures the spirit of your wedding in a natural, creative, and heartfelt way, I'd love to tell your story.
I photographed Rubeena and Bevana's wedding at Cliveden House, a venue steeped in history and charm. Their wedding was full of emotion, laughter, and breathtaking scenery, everything I love about photographing weddings. Let me take you behind the scenes!
Finding the Right Wedding Photographer: A Personal Connection
Rubeena, originally from Paris and Mauritius, and Bevan, from New Zealand, wanted their wedding photography to feel natural, artistic, and meaningful. They weren't looking for overly posed shots or anything staged; instead, they wanted someone who could capture the energy, emotion, and little moments that make a wedding day memorable.
When they saw my work, presented to them by the multitalented wedding planner Amoretti Weddings, they felt an instant connection. It's always an honour when a couple trusts me to tell their story, and from the moment we met, I knew this wedding would be truly special.
Cliveden House: A Wedding Venue with a Story to Tell
Cliveden House immediately fascinated me as someone who loves history, art, and exploring new places and countries. Once home to dukes, viscounts, and even a prince, it has seen centuries of love and secret stories within its walls.
Cliveden House, part of the National Trust, is on 376 acres of stunning gardens and woodlands. It's a dream location for anyone who appreciates elegance, history, and nature. Rubeena and Bevan's choice to get married here made perfect sense; it reflected their love for culture and history.
Their ceremony occurred in the fabulous French Dining Room, a beautifully decorated space filled with soft, natural light and exquisitely decorated by Ruby & Grace floral arrangements. It felt timeless, elegant, and grand in a very intimate way.
A Wedding Day to Remember
Relaxed Morning Preparations
One of my favourite parts of the wedding day is capturing the quiet moments before the celebrations begin. Rubeena and Bevan decided to get ready at Cliveden House, surrounded by close friends and family. There was a feeling of excitement and anticipation in the air, small glances, deep breaths, and those last finishing touches before walking down the aisle.
A Ceremony Filled with Emotion and Meaning
The moment Rubeena entered the French Dining Room, you could feel the love in the air. Bevan's expression said it all, one of pure admiration. The guests were speechless; her beauty was breathtaking. The ceremony was intimate, emotional, and beautiful.
What I love most about photographing weddings is capturing these real emotions, how hands reach for each other, the exchanged smiles, and the tiny moments that say more than words ever could.
Exploring Cliveden's Gardens: A Photographer's Dream
After the ceremony, the wedding couple and I quietly walked through Cliveden's breathtaking gardens. For me, this part of the day is special because it allows the couple to pause, take everything in, and enjoy the first moments of being married.
The golden light danced through the trees as the sun began to set, creating the perfect atmosphere for portraits. I love using natural light and beautiful surroundings to tell a couple's story, and Cliveden provided endless inspiration.
A Celebration to Remember
As the evening unfolded, the celebrations truly began. Live music, heartfelt speeches, and a first dance surrounded by confetti cannons perfectly ended such an incredible day.
I always look for those joy-filled moments that couples will cherish forever: the laughter and the energy of the dance floor. That's what makes every wedding unique.
Your Story, Your Memories, Told Naturally
Wedding photography should be about storytelling your unique day in a relaxed way. Every couple has their own journey, traditions, and way of celebrating. My role is to capture it all as it naturally unfolds so that when you look back at your photos, you don't just see images; you feel the moment all over again.
If you're planning a wedding at Cliveden House, in London, or anywhere else in the UK and Europe and want a photographer who will genuinely connect with your story, I'd love to hear from you.
