Cozy & Relaxed Winter Micro Wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall
I love photographing weddings at the charming Old Marylebone Town Hall in London! As a documentary, inclusive, and LGBTQ-friendly wedding photographer, I am thrilled to announce that I am on their exclusive list of recommended photographers. It's an incredible honour that I am deeply grateful for.
I look forward to photographing many more beautiful and diverse weddings at this stunning historical London wedding venue.
The Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding venue
The Old Marylebone Town Hall grade II listed building is one of London's most iconic wedding venues.
Many celebrities favourite this beautiful venue for their marriage. Sir Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher, and Antonio Banderas are just a few.
Recently renovated, the Old Marylebone Town Hall offers seven different rooms, all attentively decorated in a very stylish and unique way.
Vicky and JC opted for the beautiful Marylebone room, whose interior features dark wood panelling and a carved fireplace with a very intimate atmosphere. Definitely, the best choice for a small wedding, as it felt like being in a private, luxurious home, very welcoming and comfortable.
The wedding.
Vicky & JC’s micro-wedding was very cosy and relaxed. Their friends and family were extremely welcoming, and I felt part of the wedding guests.
The intimate space of the Marylebone room, the soft jazz music playing, everything was so unique; it felt like a film set in 1920.
JC was very emotional and made me cry when he cried exchanging the rings.
A very touchy part of the wedding ceremony was when the rings were passed among all the guests who in silence wished for the couple a happy life ahead. This is called the wedding rings warming ceremony.
The couple.
I was thrilled to discover that JC and his family are Italian Americans. JC's father, originally from Tuscany, told me in Italian how he met his wife in America and immediately fell in love.
It was heartwarming to see how much they were still in love.
A part of my job as a wedding photographer is to meet new people and discover their stories. I found this always so memorable and exciting.
The wedding dress.
Vicky's choice of a short wedding dress was perfect for this intimate city wedding.
The COVID-19 pandemic has indeed pushed for weddings to be more practical and perhaps smaller but always full of joyful energy.
Micro-weddings are on the rise, pushing the couple's imagination to be more free and relaxed.
With fewer guests and less to worry about, more time and money can be spent on discovering different ways and venues to celebrate.
