Two Brides wedding at the Admiral's House

I am so happy to share with you this gorgeous non-traditional wedding of two girls. As a London alternative wedding photographer, I get booked to photograph in some really unique venues.

The wedding venue, the Admiral’s House, Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, was the perfect romantic choice. As a modern documentary wedding photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more unconventional place to photograph this amazing wedding.

Getting ready photographs

When I arrived at the hotel where both brides, Stephanie and Fuchsia were getting ready, it was so exciting to see all the beautiful, unusual accessories, including jewellery and brooch bouquets that the two beautiful brides had sourced and made with love and help from friends and family. They spent months planning every single detail of their big day. Everything was so carefully put together. The two unique gold wedding gowns were absolutely stunning! I literally couldn't stop taking pictures! The girls got ready separately in two rooms next to each other. I kept switching rooms to make sure we captured every little detail. Stephanie, but her family call her Steph, had her bridesmaids wear green dresses, and Fuchsia’s party wore dark purple. The two colours looked stunning together.

The Admiral's House wedding venue

I found even more beautiful things to photograph at the venue, The Admiral’s House in Greenwich. Steph and Fuchsia, so talented and creative, had made stunning table centrepieces based on their favourite TV shows and movies. Instead of having floral arrangements, their creations were displayed on each table under glass cloches. Not only that, but they’d made the wedding cake themselves, and even the cake toppers were miniature versions of themselves in their wedding outfits! Honestly, I can't describe how incredibly detailed this wedding was. It was totally personal to them! What stood out to me at this wedding was the atmosphere of absolute love in the room – not only between Steph and Fuchsia but also between their family and friends. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a family as happy and emotional at a wedding as this! It was a small wedding, with only the closest friends and family invited, which added to the day's loving, intimate feel.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and I took the two brides out on the central lawns of the Royal Naval College for more photos. After the ceremony, and again at dusk, as a photographer, I totally love this time of the day. The light at this point was absolutely perfect. This wedding was inspirational, full of creative details, positive energy, people laughing, happy tears, and so much love!

I wish the happy couple a fun and loving life together.
